Hey there G, Houses in Kenya rarely have wired internet - the service is still being setup - but you can have wireless internet with different companies, so a house for 50grand is a sure definite. Instead of renting, why dont you just buy a house when you get to Kenya. No need of paying huge rentals when you can get some good house in a place like Langata, then after the year is over sell or give the house as a donation - you know, to a worthy cause.
