I have checked the internet for job placements for field guides and rangers and there seems to be very very few openings. I'm from the UK. Situation: I'm involved with someone from Mauritius. They may be unable to leave the island in the near future so I have thought about going there. But how long would I actually be allowed to stay? I assume i'd be able to rent somewhere if I came for a few months? Is it possible to get a part-time job? Pick up some travel books on Kenya, learn a little Swahili, and be flexible with your diet. Most of the world doesn't have the "luxury" of chosing not to eat meat.
