IT in Mauritius.. where to look?

I am on Mauritius right now, I am seeking employment in the IT sector. Anyone got any good ideas of where to look for a job? I've been working as a technician for 5 years and am qualified. Looked in the newspaper, on Servihoo and a written to a few companies but the "ground is dry" right now. Or am I looking in the wrong place?

btw, i've not got a work permit or residency yet, I am here on visitors visa.. i'm feeling rather pessimistic about my chances..

try contacting a local recruitment agency ( i dont know about the charges though)

the ground.. is pretty dry.. j2ee architects have their place for the time being
