You need not to worry about apartments because they'll provide for you an apartment. Now coming to Taxi, why would you need a taxi? You'll get a van to pick you up and back. A used car depends on the model also. A Toyota vitz can cost you around Rs 1200 per day....

As a Tech Lead they should have paid you around Rs 60,000 because Ceridian is one among the best in Mauritius. Anyways Rs50,500 is a very good earning also, but i suggest you should negotiate for an apartment with them. Good Luck ...

Buying a plot of land in Mauritius and building it the way you want is really very very expensive. So if you;'re ready to invest, then i can't see there is any problem. You should register from the District Council that you;'re building a house, bungalow or whatsoever, and they'll provide you the necessary documents....
