Rember Eve Boswell - 21 years ago

Hi Alan - and all Eve Boswell fans - please email me at oceaxe@hotmail.com and lets see if we can get some sort of recognition for this now sadly-departed lady! Perhaps an 'Eve Boswell remembered' web site could be established with, hopefully, the assistance and cooperation of Eve's family in South Africa. I for o...

Eve Boswell - 21 years ago

Hi Alan! Glad to hear that Eve is still remembered I probably saw her at one of the London theatres -or the Croydon or Kingstone Empire. I was an avid theatre-goer in those days. I think this would be the late 50's. Spent years looking for a girl just like her! Never found one of course - the one I married bore no resemblance whatsoever - a Scottish lassie with flaming red hair! Talking of magic ...

My First Love! - 22 years ago

Does anyone remember Eve Boswell? She was a singer over here - UK - back in the 1940's/50's. I saw her once in London when I was 16 and thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world! I even had a signed photo of her but alas never saw her again and believe she returned to South Africa. But what happened to her - anybody know? Surely she had a fan club! She was fantastic! ...

Car Hire and safety - 21 years ago

Hi All, We plan to visit SA in late November through early December from the UK. Naturally whilst doing our research through the excellent information available on-line we come across the well discussed subject of crime, car-jackings etc. We intend to pretty much keep to the "tourist routes" and away from the major trouble spots. I am curious to know if a hire car can be spotted easil...

Television - 18 years ago

I am moving to Marrakech in August, and was wondering if it is possible to get UK television out there, the problem is that we are not allowed a large satelite on the outside of our property. I believe there is cable where we are, nut I guess it will be set to receive Moroccan and French stations. Does anybody know if it is possible? Thanks! Steve ...

Marrakech - 18 years ago

We have recently purchased a 6 bedroomed maison d' hote in the Medina and it will be ready for our first guests in August. We are in the process of restoring it to be a fine and high class property with the best amenities and 5 star service catering to English speaking clients. Could anyone advise us of how to obtain honest and reliable staff, and the approximate salaries for a Manager, reception...

Fish - 22 years ago

Rumor has it there is fishing around Ifrane--an Al Akhawayn faculty member used to go out with a rod and reel, I don't know if he caught anything though. The hiking is beautiful around Ifrane, and there are troops of barbary apes in the mountains outside of town. Huckleberry--are you going to Akhawayn? I was there two years ago, it's intense. Steve ...
