dual nationality

Hi all,I was born in egypt but grew up abroad,I hold a Full UK passport and just got my egyptian passport from the egyptian consulate in london,However i was warned that as i didnt do my military service i might get hasseled at the airport in cairo!What should i do as i want to visit my birth place and visit my relatives in cairo!?Are there any body in egypt from the uk who has any experience of this issue?

Dear Mahmoud,
I think that being a dual national as in British-Egyptian then you are exempt from military service, voting and self-nomination for elections.
The problem is however that if you don't notify the authorities that you are a dual national then you are not legible of holding the Egyptian citizenship and they just cancel your citizenship. Bunch of over-proud snobs aren't we?
The best thing to do is to ask the Egyptian consulate coz the probably have the best answer.
