The place to stay in Maun, Botswana, is Riley's. It is centrally located and has good food and clean accomodations. I stayed there in 1992 and when my husband and I went back in 1999, we visited there although at that time we didn't have time to stay. We were just returning from a safari and I wanted to see it again. Looked just the same. In 1992, there was a river trip in the evening that coasted down the river and you could see all the beautiful residences that led up from the river. Lovely trip. It was called the Sundown trip. You just walked through the back field to the river and floated down. Nothing fancy but very memorable. You made the reservation in Riley's. Liz
