I am 1 of 2 ladies planning to carry on cycling through Africa, we've cycled 7500km through and around South Africa but now wants to start cycling up Africa. We each cycle with a Jack Russel dog in a basket in the front of our bicycles. What are Botswana's policy about dogs are they welcome do we need permits other than the usual rabies and veterinarian permits? Quarantine ?

botswana is strict on animal diseases,just make sure you have the papers showing that the vet is free from any disease ie medical examination.i op to see you in gaborone.

Thank you for your reply. We would keep in contact when we get closer to Gabarone. It is quite a mission with the dogs. We have to get a state vet in Botswana to correspond with our vet in South Africa.
