“My friend” = As a European or American you have unlimited amounts of money and I intend to get some of that by stealing, cheating, begging or selling useless items
“Mon ami” = As a European or American you have unlimited amounts of money and I intend to get some of that by stealing, cheating, begging or selling useless items
“Welcome to my country” = As a European or American you have unlimited amounts of money and I intend to get some of that by stealing, cheating, begging or selling useless items
“Bienvennue a mon pay” = As a European or American you have unlimited amounts of money and I intend to get some of that by stealing, cheating, begging or selling useless items
This dictionary do reflect a negative attitude towards Senegal, or at least Dakar, where I during three weeks met as many dishonest men as I had during a fifty years long life, visiting 83 countries, before that. In addition to that, border crossing to and from Senegal is worse than anything else, worse than former USSR, GDR, present Iran and even worse than present Belarus.

It is indeed too bad that you had such a bad experience in Senegal. Senegal can be quite a difficult place to get used to, especially if you don't speak French. I lived there for 3 years and I can say after a while you do learn how to get around some of the problems you had to deal with. If I'd have known in advance about your trip I could've introduced you to a couple of local people who are my close friends who would no doubt have gone out of their way to ensure your visit went smooth and that you would've enjoyed yourself there. Best regards, earlyman

Hi, you can use the send me an email link under my posting if you want.

What kind of "hints" do you feel you need the most? I lived in Dakar for 3 years and have visited since then. I also have friends there I keep in touch with.

Let me know how best I can help you and I will try. Thanks, regards
