I have heard it used to be easiest to change french francs into mali-money. how does this work now with the euro? is it already accepted?
is it best to take cash with me or traveller cheques - what currency is best?

Euros can be changed in main banks in cities - however its best to cash and travellers cheques in US Dollars.

I would split it 50/50 between cash and Travellers cheques.
