Re: Help Finding Volunteer Opportunities

Hey Everyone,

I will be traveling to Africa this upcoming summer for two months, spending one month of that in Tanzania. I am in the early stages of planning and am looking for any suggestions or advice on places to volunteer while in Tanzania. I am fairly open to any types of work as long as I have the opportunity to really work with the people of Tanzania as well as make some sort of difference in the individuals (as well as my own) lives. My primary background is in psychology as well as sociology and I also have experience in construction (through habitat for humanity).

Does anybody have any ideas to offer on places (schools, orphanages, hospitals, community builds, ect.)? Any and all ideas will be very welcome and highly appreciated.
