That reminded me of a similar experience, but with quite a different end, in Dar-es-Salaam. I stayed five days at the Hotel Durban. When I checked out the bill was different from the price I had been told when I arrived. So I protested. Then they asked me who had told me that price. I said I did not know the persons name, but it was a male and at this and that time in the evening, Thursday. Then they actually found the guy, but not only that, he admitted having told me the price I had said, and that was what I ended up paying.
