I am hoping to travel out to Tanzania - specifically Zanzibar to research my dissertation this summer. I am keen to investigate the sustainability of tourism and its effects with regard to empowerment and opportunity as well as erosion of culture and traditional livelihoods. Does anyone know of any small local NGOs that deal with community issues such as these or have any suggestions? Thanks
