Hello!

I intend to go to Tanzania in March-May (Dar to Kigoma & back), wich is in the long rains' season. Can anybody advise me on this:

should I bring rain clothing or is it warm enough anyway?

Thanks

OK anyone interested: don´t bother to take rain clothing, exept if you´re planning to be tramping the countryside for days without shelter, especially in more elevated regions like Kigoma/Kasulu. Only there did it cool down during rain.

Take a poncho. You won't need it for warmth, but they have them that fold into a small packet and tuck in your bag. Mine was invaluable and used a lot in May when I first went to Kenya. I was on a safari, but we got in and out of the vehicle and sometimes were standing out in the rain. It was very beautiful then, but you will be better prepared in case you need to put your camera under it in a flash. Liz
