Is that a reason to keep it a secret that you offer your tourists extremely good value for money?!? I don´t get that!
By the way, in Kenya one dinner at a good restaurant (for example Tamarind in Mombasa) costs you threee monthly salaries for a police aspirant. And they still don´t offer good value for money.

Gotta agree here, SA really is good value for money at the moment for foreign tourists. Food, accommodation, fuel (compared to UK), all very cheap and good quality.
It may be a secret in Europe but in the rest of Af all the expats know a good deal can be had in SA.

Generally good value for money in South Africa

Why do the South Africans keep it a secret how cheap it is to live and become really good food in South Africa? You get luxury at 300.- rand on the hotels and excellent food at much cheaper prices than in Europe, North America as well as their neighbouring states and East Africa. And though their sleeping cars aren’t too good, the dining cars on the South African railways are of a quality and variety that we hardly have any longer in Europe.
