I'm a student from the US and I will be doing volunteer work in Windhoek from the coming May til August. In order to receive funding I must furnish a budget in my proposal and I am looking for information to help me write that budget. Would anyone be able to give me an estimate of what one person would spend per week or month on groceries and/or rent in Windhoek? Also, can anyone suggest what would be a fun and safe neighborhood where I should look for an apartment? I'll be working on Korner St, although I haven't been able to locate it on a map.
