I'm interested in purchasing land/ property in Morocco that is NOT part of a resort or heavily populated tourist area. I want to develop a small therapeutic retreat that is non-profit making, ecologically-sound and respects the local culture/ environment.
I'd be grateful for any tips, comments or helpful discussion on the subject and am interested in undertaking this project within the next 12 months.
1. What can I expect to pay for, say, 1 acre of land in Morocco, preferably near the sea/ocean?
2. How easy is it to gain planning permission for foreigners?
3. How available are non-luxury properties in rural/coastal areas that could be developed with a little investment?
