We have some candidates who may be employed in Mauritius in the near future.
Please can you help with the following questions regarding the cost of living:

1. What is the average cost of restaurants? (compared to South Africa)
2. What is the average cost of food stuffs at supermarkets?(compared to South Africa)
3. What is the average cost of a one-bedroomed apartment in Quatre Bournes?

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards

Hello Theresa,

Definitely, Mauritius is cheaper than SA and our money is Rs 4 to make a Rand, which means that your money has 4 times its value.

Food is relatively cheap, except meat which is of inferior quality than SA (steaks etc...)

The cost for accommodation is not expensive and you can expect to rent for Rs 15,000 for a 2 bedroom apartment since its almost rare to get a 1 bedroom apartment.

Hope this will help you.

Do not hesitate to contact me should you additional info.

With thanks,
