Hi,

I am an Indian, presently living at Mumbai. I am in a discussion with an organization for employment purpose.

They intend to offer me a monthly remuneration of Mauritian Rupees Sixty Thousand (MR 60,000/=).

I am a Married person, however no issues. I am writing to this forum with an expectation to guide me about cost of living at Mauritius and how much would i be able to save from abovementioned earnings.

Hi, yours is a very common question. Basically you will look to spend about 1 and a half times what you spend in India or more.

So what you need to do is ask yourself, how much are you spending now in Indian rupees. You will get there roughly.

Take note that you will spend more in your first month or 2 due to extra shopping while you settle in.

Yes, by far, it will be very easy financially to settlet in Mauritius.

Food is easy, especially that meals are almost like in India.
