best part of the island mauritius

We are travelling on Saturday and I would like to check before I book our Hotel (which is Les Pavillons) whether or not we will be staying at the best location on the island i.e. south west coast. I have stayed at Grand Baie in the north which is beautiful but not sure about the south.
Has anyone stayed at this hotel?

pat , i would have suggested the north west... near grand baie. u can enjoy the south east if you are coming this week as there is a scorching sun , provided you got a good deal.
