children in mauritius

Hello,

I am writing a children's screenplay about some kids that live in Mauritius. I hope to protray Mauritus as a happy and colorful place to live, much diversity. However, seeing as how I have never been there, I need help. I want to be very accurate. If you could answer my questions or direct me to a website or post that does, that would be most helpful and very appreciated.

How does the school system for children ages 5 to 11 work?

What do local children do for fun?

What are the general feelings of the locals to the tourists that go there? Is there much seperation?

I would like to imagine that there are rather diverse groups of friendships developed there since many people are from different countries, is this true?

Any other remarks about the general life on Mauritius would be most appreciated.
