I would like to meet someone who is knowledgeable in researching roots of indentured immigrants from India that came to work in Mauritius. Also if anyone knows of any books written on immigrants that came from India to Mauritius. Thanks in advance for you help.

The national archives also have this information. The municipal liberary in Port Louis also has some good books on this subject.

I love the history of Mauritius and have read thru some of the books that I got my hands on.

as shawn mentioned National Archives, MGI and Municipality of PL have real good resources regarding our indian roots.

But if u r looking at tracing them,i would suggest you MGI and National Archives. I have some good contacts over there if u want any further help.
