Me and a friend are planning a medical elective in mauritius for 4 weeks beginning in August 2005. If anyone knows who to contact and at which hospital, we would be grateful for the information. We are hoping to do 2 weeks in A&E and 2 in general medicine if possible.

Thanx

Hi Sapna
Regarding your medical elective if you write for the attention of:
Medical Superitendant
SSR Hospital
Pamplemouse
Mauritius
The hospital is based in the north of the island and in a fairly good location.

hiya

the person to write to is Mrs Rugee, the electives co-ordinator at the Ministry of Health, Port Louis. She sorts out all the electives (my friend and I are about to go in January to SSRN hospital). She takes a while to get back to you but if you ring her up you can speed the process up. Specialties are arranged when you arrive.

Good luck!

Hi,
My name is Bilal and I am a 4th year medical student at the university of Dundee. I have organised a medical elective from July till September at the SSRN hospital. I am having trouble organising accommodation. Could anyone provide any contact details?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you
Bilal
