Hello,

I have been doing a lot of research on this site and others on where is the best to stay in Mauritius, but I am hoping someone can help me a bit further.

My boyfriend and I plan to go at the end of November. Anne, your site has been a great help with suggestions, and I think I would most like to stay in the NW part of the island. I just am not sure if there is a hotel there that I am happy with. One I see a lot is Le Canonnier. Is this a nice place to stay?

Another place I am looking into is La Pirogue. I've read good recommendations on this site, but what is the area around the hotel like (Flic en Flac)? Is there much life outside of the hotel?

Thank you in advnace for any help.
Marie

Hi Marie

thanks for watching my website.
Both hotels are beautifull.
Le C. there the beach is not so long, but arround the corner, there is the long Mont Choisi Beach,
in 5 min you are by a busstop and some shops, for snacks and drinks
by bus in 5 min in Grand Baie and 35 min in Port Louis

do you speak german? then I can send you a link about htis hotel

with kindly regards anne

Hi Anne,

Thank you for the info. I do not speak German, but please send me the link. I can probably figure parts of it out, or my boyfriend can, since he knows German a bit.

Thanks again!

Anne,

Thank you for the link, I was able to still get some good information about the hotel, even though it was in German. The forum in general is very helpful.

Thank you again for your help.
