I am a Photographer & businessman frfom Mumbai, India. I have had the pleasure of visiting Mauritius a few times, both for Holiday and a shoot.

I find it an extremely fascinating place and have often toyed around with the idea of Migrating to this lovely island.

I would greatly appreciate comments and views as well as suggestions from People who have lived and worked in Mauritius about the prospects of such a move, the legal formalities involved, how safe a country Mauritius is and any other information about Mauritius, including important & useful webites.

I am especially curious about the prospects for a photographer there.

Lately we have a lot of people asking for information about living in mauritius.

gladly the situation is that if you get offered a job by a company here the chance of you staying here like immigrating is quite easier.

but the government with new policies ask for quite some money

i will advise you to start searching on

www.gov.mu -------> the govt portal

www.servihoo.com ---> the most popular portal powered by the local ISP.

and there are so many others...

there is prospect for photographs , artists people like you , it is provided that you can get someone to employ you.
