From Arusha drive to Engaruka to begin your safari, walk to green village of Engaruka on a voyage back in time also visit farms, and markets of Engaruka. A rare journey to the amazing and remote Lake Natron, land of the Maasai people. A visit to Ol Donyo Lengai, “Mountain of God” to the Massai and the last active volcano in East Africa, and view wildlife in the vast plains of Serengeti and in the Majestic Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 1: Arrival
Meet and greet at Kilimanjaro International Airport then transfer to Arusha town for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Full Board
Accommodation: Outpost Lodge or Karama Lodge & Spa

Day 2: Engaruka
After breakfast, drive to Engaruka, starting from the ruins you walk down to the green village of Engaruka. On your way you will visit several farms, where various crops are grown and get explanation about the current farming and irrigation methods in the area. Engaruka is one of the few places in East Africa where Maasai are practicing irrigation, but also other tribes have arrived to farm in the area. Your guide will give you extensive explanation about the tribal background in the village. On your way back you can visit the market area of Engaruka that is located in the shade of an African tulip tree and a huge mkuyu tree, especially on the market days- Sunday and Thursday a visit will be an unforgettable experience.

Day 3: Arusha / Lake Natron
After breakfast drive from Arusha to Lake Natron. Embark on a full day of exploration inside Tanzania, driving along the Rift Valley to the shores of Lake Natron. The lake is in northern Tanzania on the border with Kenya, lying in the East African Rift System, 70 miles (113 km) northwest of Arusha. The lake is 35 miles (56 km) long and 15 miles (24 km) wide and contains salt, soda, and magnesite deposits. The lake's warm water is an ideal breeding ground for the Rift Valley flamingos. The Gelai volcano (9,652 feet [2,942 m]) is at the lake's southeastern edge. At midnight ascent of Ol Doinyo Lengai

Day 4: Lake Natron and waterfall
Today after your break fast, you will explore Lake Natron and visit the waterfall

Day 5: Lake Natron / Serengeti National Park
Leave Lake Natron and continue toward the northern part of the Serengeti National Park and experience your first game drive in this famous reserve. Dinner and overnight at Campsite

Meals: Full Board
Accommodation: Sopa Lodge/Seronera Campsite

Day 6: Serengeti National Park / Ngorongoro
Drive toward the majestic Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest unbroken caldera, and its surrounding highlands, visiting Olduvai Gorge en route. This afternoon take a walk in the forest. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro.

Accommodation: Sopa Lodge/Simba Campsite

Day7: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park
This morning drive to the Crater floor for great game viewing, stopping for a picnic lunch. More than 30,000 animals thrive in this enclosed grassland, including hippo that live in the central soda lake. Bird life here includes ostrich, crested crane, flamingo and egret. Evening ascend the crater then drive to lake Manyara National Park for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Manyara to Arusha to Kilimanjaro
After early break fast drive for game viewing with your lunch box to Lake Manyara National park for full day game drive, in the afternoon you will stop for picnic lunch and then proceed with game viewing. Late afternoon drive back to Arusha then transfer to Kilimanjaro to Catch your flight back home after a memorable trip to Northern Tanzania
