Who We Are

History & Vision

AfricaGuide.com was founded in 1996 by Phil and Vera.

It has grown into a resource of more than 30,000 pages of information about the African continent. Since our beginning we have served more than 11,000,000,000 (11 billion) full pages (not hits) of Africa information to visitors from around the world.

Our aim then and now is to encourage travel and tourism in Africa through education and availability of information.

We believe one of the most straightforward ways to assist the economic opportunities and conditions for local people across Africa, is by direct financial, cultural and intellectual interaction with people from countries in and outside of the continent. In a nutshell "Tourism".

Tourism creates ideas and opportunities for local people, no middle man, no red tape.
