Zambia, Let's Explore

Zambia, Let's Explore
Four good reasons to visit Zambia - It's Wildlife, it's Culture, it's Waterfalls, and last but not least it's People

Little known facts but true - Zambia has 19 national parks and 34 game management areas, a World Heritage site, 8 major languages, 73 different local dialects and 66 ethnic traditional ceremonies are held across the country each year, 740 different bird species have been recorded, over 70 different mammals. Plus there are over 19 major waterfalls which together with it's rivers and lakes, provides 35% of the water resources of southern Africa. We could tell you more.

Safari in Zambia
As specialists in Zambia, with many years experience, we can design or provide any type, style or duration of safari to anywhere in Zambia.

Camping/Mobile Option
You can choose from a range of mobile safaris, semi-participation, overlander, semi-luxury or full participation, to any or all of Zambia's wonderful National Parks. Favourites such as South Luangwa, and Kafue to lesser known yet still popular Kasanka National Park and Lake Bengweulu or venture further afield to the relatively unknown waterfall area of northern Zambia, Lakes Mweru and Wantipa or Sumbu National Park.

In particular we specialise in designing and providing off the beaten track safaris to the remoter or less visited areas of Zambia.

Prices range from US$1,500 per person for a 3 day full participation safari to U$$4,500 per person for a 10 day semi-luxury fully guided mixed accommodation mobile safari.

Lodge Option
Alternatively if tenting is not your thing, working with a number of top class partners, we are able to provide you with a number of luxury lodge type safaris to almost all of Zambia's better known national parks such as South Luangwa, Kafue, North Luangwa, Nsefu Sector (of SLNP), Lower Zambezi and Busanga Plains.

These typically range from 3 - 7 days and can be based in one location or can include 2-3 different camps or lodges in one or more national parks. Note that all of our partners are world class operators in their own right.

Prices can range from US$2,400 per person for a 5 day safari to Liuwa Plains National Park, to US$5,800 for a 10 day mixed lodge and walking safari in North and South Luangwa National Parks.

About Our Reviews

Our reviews are Fully Qualified

We do not take reviews from unqualified sources

Since 1996 we have been working with the best tour operators in Africa. Our unique relationship with those operators ensures only people who have participated in a trip after making an enquiry for it at AfricaGuide.com can leave a review.

The email we send you when you make an enquiry has full instructions for registering a booking and leaving a review - both are free services.

Feel free to read through the reviews for any trip you like the look of.

Trips with no reviews are usually new to AfricaGuide.com but are normally operated by a tour operator who is established here and has gained operator reviews for you to read.

Thanks for visiting, happy travels and don't forget to send us your reviews...

About our trip providers and reviews

Our Trip Providers

We carry out extensive company checks on all our providers, over 20 years we have built strong personal relationships with each of them, which assures you of an unparalleled service, great value and the trip of a lifetime.
We have participated in many of the trips found here (we have a nice job) and make our own independent assessments of the services provided, ensuring they meet with our own high standards.

All the trips are supplied by the end provider of that trip.
You may find the same or similar trips elsewhere, usually these are offered by an agent.
We prefer to give you direct access to the trip provider for reasons outlined below:

  1. Best price.
The price you see here is the direct trip price set by the provider, the same price as purchasing directly with them (which is how it works), there are no added commissions.
This means you are not paying an agents commission and the provider is receiving their fully budgeted trip cost.
(agents can demand discounts from providers as well as adding commissions to the providers trip price)
  2. Easy customisation.
By booking directly with the end provider, making changes is quick and easy.
  3. Fast problem solving.
On the rare occasion that an issue may arise before or during your trip, by dealing directly with the end provider, problem solving is quick and efficient.
  4. Helping Africa help itself.
The most straightforward way to assist the economic opportunities and conditions for local people across Africa, is by direct financial interaction with people in Africa. In a nutshell "Tourism".
This kind of direct tourism gives opportunity to local people.

We limit the number of providers we work with in order to strike a balance between a good choice of trips and to be sure we can honestly recommend the service and validity of each provider.
Because the majority of trips can be customised by the providers, the choice of trip configurations is in the tens of thousands.

Our Reviews

We have 3,000+ reviews for our trips and providers.
All our reviews are fully qualified, we do not take unqualified reviews.
We show all reviews, the good and the critical (very few). Our providers have the ability to respond to reviews and those responses are shown alongside the review.
Acquiring genuine reviews is actually very hard, for our genuine travellers we make this an easy process but many people although satisfied with the service they received do not leave a review.

Many reviews on the internet can be left by an open process with little or no checks.
At best unqualified reviews are worthless, at worst they are misleading. We never take unqualified reviews.

We hope you find a trip to your liking and we are here to assist.

Wishing you happy travels...
