Wadi Halfa

Hello Mario,
Did you see any large lizards, monitor lizards in your travels through Egypt and Wadi Halfa?? I am working on their biology, pattern/color, and would appreciate any comments or stories on seeing these large lizards.

We are a group of italian tourist that will be coming to Egypt with a Truck and we are willing to drive overland or use the ferry from Aswan to Wadi Halfa.
Pls let me know the procedure to accomplish this trip.
We are interested either in driving overland or taking the Ferry.
