Options?

I'm from the UK.
Situation: I'm involved with someone from Mauritius. They may be unable to leave the island in the near future so I have thought about going there. But how long would I actually be allowed to stay?

I assume i'd be able to rent somewhere if I came for a few months? Is it possible to get a part-time job?

I realise its probably impossible
What other option do I have?

Following are the options you have. But it will be a good idea to confirm them (I can not say that I am 100% accurate) before you take any action:

1. As a UK citizen you can stay here for 6 months duration. No visa needed.

2. Get a job sponsorship. Can be here then for 2+ years.

3. Marry her, you get your residenceship automatically !! Live for life.
