Buying a car in Malawi

I'm going to be moving to Malawi for six months and am hoping to buy a pretty good (but not too expensive) four-wheel drive car. does anyone have any suggestions or advice??? thanks

I lived in Malawi in the 80's, so my knowledge is not as current as you may like, but cars are very expensive in Malawi, and you are probably better off renting a car when needed since you are not going to be there very long. Hope this is of some help.
