Jackalberry Farm & Lodge is located in sub-tropical Hazyview. With its all year round holiday climate of hot summers with cooling rains and sunny, warm winter days, it is ideal base from which to tour and explore the world famous Kruger National Park.
The lodge is perfect for formal or informal gatherings (wedding receptions, office parties, Christmas parties, etc). The outdoors, with its access to the river, a beautiful, tropical garden opens several additional opportunities. The gardens in the front of the main house make the perfect location for a wedding, as the sand of the riverbed for those that prefer a different wedding. With the capability for a catered reception inside, Jackalberry Farm & Lodge will make the event smooth and easy for the guests. Immediate family or selected members of the wedding party are able to stay at the lodge, while other party members are referred to neighbouring Inns.
The Cottage sleeps five with fully equipped kitchen, living & dining-room with air-conditioning & heater, bathroom with shower/toilet, one bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with three single beds, ceiling fans, DSTV, veranda, and terrace with barbecue. The cottage is built amongst natural rocks and indigenous trees, like in a little forest.
African Rondavel Style Bungalows: Bedroom with queen size bed in the heart of the rondavel, bathroom with shower/toilet, sitting area, mini bar, coffee & tea-making facility, air conditioning, DSTV, mosquito screens in the windows, veranda, fridge, barbecue, carport. The bungalows are all situated directly on the banks of the Sabie River.
From Nelspruit
At Nelspruit turn left onto R40 to White River (in White River the R40 turns left, please watch out for the signs) and Hazyview. In Hazyview drive direction north R40 (Phalaborwa) Turn left just before the Sabie river bridge (1km north of Hazyview) and follow the small farmers gravel road for 2.5 km to reach Jackal-berry Farm & Lodge in Hazyview.
From Sabie
If you rather prefer a more scenic route, leave the N4 at Belfast, take R540 via Dullstroom to Lydenburg. There take R37 over the Long Tom Pass to Sabie and then R536 to Hazyview. Turn left on R40 direction north (Phalaborwa). You see our signpost after 100 meters
