This charming new Karoo cottage is situated at one of the best spots in Nieu Bethesda with spacious unrestricted views such as beautiful mountain views, forest views, garden view and open spaces, an oasis of rest and tranquillity. Warm hospitality with an elegant homely atmosphere. The accommodation lies within the lovely village of Nieu Bethesda just 2 minutes walk to the famous Owl House and the centre of the village with all his tourist attractions. Start your holiday to stay over at Nieu Bethesda for 2 nights to explore this beautiful little village with his famous Owl House and artists.

Self-Catering cottage/ Chalet.

This charming cottage is fully equiped and tastefully furnished with South African antiques. In the kitchen you find a fridge with freezer compartment, 2 plate stove, bread and toasty- roaster, microwave, coffee and tea facilities and all the needs to make breakfast, lunch or small meal.

The cottage has a large private veranda with braai facilities. In the room you find 1 king-size bed (on request we can make 2 single beds) with electric blankets, 2 wall heaters, 1 fan.

On request we can also offer you full English breakfast from 15 October till 1 May.

Double room en-suite not self-catering

Facilities comprises in the main house just near the cottage one luxurious spacious double room en-suite (sleeps 2), not self-catering with private entrance and private veranda overlooking open spaces and beautiful mountain views. On request we will serve you a delicious full English breakfast from 15 October till 15 May. You can also use our weber braai. In the room is a little fridge with freezer compartment and coffee and tea facilities.

How To Find Us

Rustpunt is situated between Graaff Reinet and Middelburg. About 55 km from Graaff Reinet, N9 after about 32 km follow the sign Owl Route. In Nieu Bethesda follow the signs to the Owl House. Take the road in front of the Owl House.This road goes over the river keep turning right, at the end is a T junction, go to the right. At the corner you see a yellow house with two flags (Dutch flag and South African flag)This is RUSTPUNT.
From Middelburg N 9 about 100 km follow the sign Owl Route, dirt road for about 32 km. In Nieu Bethesda follow Hudsonstreet, Owl House and there the road over the river etc.
