Peas on Earth offer backpacker and farm stay accommodation in a 100 year old farmhouse on the Wild Coast. Overlooking a private game reserve, within easy driving distance from the coast, and based on a small-holding with herbs and horses.
Peas on Earth offer backpacker and farm stay accommodation in a 100-year-old farmhouse on the Wild Coast of South Africa's Eastern Cape. With extensive views over a privately owned game reserve and into the Old Transkei, Peas on Earth are perched on one of the highest points around.
Based on a small-holding where we grow herbs and vegetables according the natural rhythms of the Earth and without any chemicals. We also have beautiful mature fruit trees and, in the fields beyond, we have goats, pigs and horses enjoying a free-range life.
Our rooms are self-catering, giving guests the flexibility to choose whether they would prefer meals prepared for them, or whether they would choose to cook themselves.
Peas on Earth make their own butter, cheese, jams and chutneys and breads, as well as having free range chickens and pigs - so a slap up, homemade and homegrown breakfast is always available to our guests.
Backpackers can choose to kick back and relax or lend a hand on the farm and earn themselves a free meal.
