The nation newspaper in Kenya has been around since 1958. At that time they were known for their Swahili weekly paper; Taifa which was published by Charles Hayes. Charles Hayes went on to sell it to the Prince Karim Aga Khan IV at around 1959, which led to a change of name to "Nation Today".
