EFL/ESL Morocco - 17 years ago
Hello! I am a British citizen (from Bermuda) with a diploma in teaching English as a foreign/second language (EFL/ESL). Most schools require you to have a university English degree in order to get a work permit. However, I will be married to a Moroccan and believe I wont need a permit to work there... Hi all! Interesting post! Well I will be marrying a Moroccan man next year and then moving with him to Casa...I have heard it's very difficult and complicated to marry in Morocco (even if you are marrying a citizen). Is this true? We plan to marry in my country (Bermuda). I am not American...I'm British (by citizenship)Portuguese/Bermudian... It is quite difficult to marry in Morocco. You need to get certain stamps and signatures from different officials and all documents need to be translated into Arabic as well. I would say, marry in your resident country and enjoy Morocco for your honeymoon or a later vacation! Or get a hold of a good english-speaking lawyer to help you through all the paper work...
