EFL/ESL Morocco - 17 years ago

Hello! I am a British citizen (from Bermuda) with a diploma in teaching English as a foreign/second language (EFL/ESL). Most schools require you to have a university English degree in order to get a work permit. However, I will be married to a Moroccan and believe I wont need a permit to work there... Does anyone know of any places where they would need an EFL/ESL teacher?? Will be moving to Cas...

Morocco Marriages... - 17 years ago

Hi all! Interesting post! Well I will be marrying a Moroccan man next year and then moving with him to Casa...I have heard it's very difficult and complicated to marry in Morocco (even if you are marrying a citizen). Is this true? We plan to marry in my country (Bermuda). I am not American...I'm British (by citizenship)Portuguese/Bermudian... And I would like to know if its all the same proceedur...

It is quite difficult to marry in Morocco. You need to get certain stamps and signatures from different officials and all documents need to be translated into Arabic as well. I would say, marry in your resident country and enjoy Morocco for your honeymoon or a later vacation! Or get a hold of a good english-speaking lawyer to help you through all the paper work...
