Fire at the southern palms Diani Beach ? - 16 years ago
Jambo After my tour operator changing us from Indian ocean beach club to Southern Palms, We have just had a call to say that the Southern palms has had a fire, and would we accept LTI Kasakazi Beach Hotel, which we did ,as we are flying out on Monday 11th June. Could anyone tell me if the fire is real, and if this Hotel is OK, I'd appreciate it very much if someone could help. Kind regards Grah...by GRAHAM in: Kenya Travel Forum

Hi Sogomo, Thanks for your information on the hotel,I do know about the fire as you can see I sent a new post about what's happened today.Apparently out of seven blocks there are only two that is undamaged, and it has been shut down for health and safety reasons.As I mentioned in the other post that we have been offered LTI Kasakazi Beach Hotel instead, for the same cost and on all inclusive inst...by GRAHAM in: Kenya Travel Forum

Hi. With only a week to go for our trip to the Indian Ocean beach Club, our travel agent has informed us that there will be building work starting at the hotel on 17/5/07 until 24/5/07 which will involve draining the pool.Of course we are very disappointed but we have accepted alternate accomodation at Southern Palms Hotel, which looks very nice on the photos but feel a little uneasy about it.Can...by GRAHAM in: Kenya Travel Forum

Hi, As it's our 30th wedding anniversary on 11th June, we are very near to booking a holiday to kenya.The only reservations we have is that we're unsure of what the weather will be like then.If it's too bad we would probably go a little later as we both like the sun.
