I see that someone wants to know about land on the island on Lake Malawi... 1)Chizimulu Island is not worth anything..there is nothing there..its dry and not really nice 2) Likoma Island is a nice place ..with a nice resort called Kaya Mawa(maybe tomorrow) Land is scarce there..I have looked there and came up empty.. Zanzibar is part of Tanzania..A place I looked at for investing.. It is no longer affordable and land is all bought up... A very tiny piece if available may cost you $150,000 or more.. You are too late for Zanzibar..at least by 15 years(that was when I first visited)..It now full of Italian Resorts, Serena Hotel, Blue Bay and Sultans Palace 5 star hotels) Skip this one too.. To invest in Malawi the Government discourages investers by asking a minimum of $50,000 in a Malawi bank to show you are a serious invester.. So many places in the world your could use that amount to do some wonderful things.. Skip Malawi!!...by Globetrekker in: Malawi Travel Forum

I own property and land in Malawi near Nkhata Bay My advice to you if you are considering investing in Malawi is: DON'T DO IT!!...TAKE YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE..MALAWI IS TOO CORRUPT AS IS THE REST OF AFRICA!..
