Does anyone know if there are any passenger ferries traveling from Pireus, Greece to San Said, Egypt or any other way for two parents and 13 year old to travel to Egypt other than air?

There is supposed to be a passenger ship from either Pireus or Cyprus or both (and to Cyprus you get by ferry without any problem) to Bur Sa'id (Port Said). I saw that ship myself in July 2001 in Bur Sa'id. But I am afraid I do not remember the name of neither the ship nor the ships company, and it is very difficult to obtain information about ship services to Egypt. YOU CAN NOT GO AS A FREIGHT SHIP PASSENGER TO EGYPT, the Egyptian authorities do not allow neither embarking nor disembarking from freighters by passengers. The other way is to go by train from Istanbul to Halab (Aleppo)(through sleeping car once a week), from Halab to Dimashq (Damascus)(daily), from Dimashq to Amman (Mondays and Thursdays), by taxi (or maybe bus) to the Aquaba Bay and by ferry to Egypt across Aquaba.
