how do i get a duplicate birth certificate for Kampala Uganda

My Father was born in Kampala Uganda 17.12.1937 . He has misplaced his birth certificate and we require this for some legal work. Can anyone help and advcie on how to obtain this.

I am in the same situation trying to get hold of a birth certificate from Uganda. Does get frustrating when the Embassy doesn't help you in obtaining one like the Kenyan Embassy does.

But I have come across Uganda's official registration authority (NIRA). All the forms are there along with their fee structure (1000ugx / £0.22) for a copy.

You'll find the forms at the following link. You'll need 'FORM 15' for obtaining a copy from the birth and deaths register.

I need a replacement as lost the original.
Form 15 on NIRA website is easy to print etc. but I cannot work out how much to pay.
if you managed to get a replacement - do you mind telling me the process?
i would be grateful as have not got through to anyone by phoning.
