beaches in Tanzania

I am going to be in Arusha for two weeks, visting a friend who works there.

I was thinking it would be fun to plan an excursion to swim in the Indian Ocean (we will be there in February).

Where is the easiest place to get to from Arusha?We are flying home out of Nairobi and could possibly leave arusha early and then stop on the coast on our way to Nairobi.

Well, as the beach at the Indian Ocean isn´t on the way from Arusha to Nairobi anyway, I would suggest that you go to Mombasa, and then by train from Mombasa to Nairobi. There are a lot of overnight possibilities in Mombasa. For security reasons it is much better to arrive Nairobi by train from Mombasa than by bus from Arusha - and it is a very nice train.

I am not talking, I am writing, answering "barbara" about Mombasa, which you maybe didn´t know is a Kenyan town, situated at the Indian Ocean and from where there are excellent communications to Nairobi. The next time maybe you could identify yourself and mind your language?
