Pirates are no joke any longer on ship journeys from East Africa

While until recently pirate activities were concentrated to the South China Sea and Malacca Strait, the coast of West Africa, the coast of Brazil and the coast of Ecuador there was in July pirate warnings for Dar-es-Salaam harbour, Gulf of Aden, the Read Sea as well as the coast of Somalia. I travelled myself by a freighter from Mombasa to Europe 29th June-13th July and was actually "ear-witness" to a conversation between two captains, just being attacked by pirates in the Read Sea.
