Hi there,

I am an Indonesian..I'm offered an IT job to a Mauritius company for 1 year contract..I'll get 3500 USD/month...the project will be at Port Louis and Curepipe...
How about living cost for single on those cities? (flat, meal, transportation)...can you give recomendation for a standard flat there?

How about tax must be paid there?

thanks and regards,

Hi abu,

3500 USD is a good sum , I think you should be a specialist. Here the pay for expats specially from the eastern side of the world is like 1000 USD.

500 USD you will decently , with the expenses a single will have.. including entertainment and some discos.

One advice , save some money , You will be better off.

A flat in these regions will cost you like 6000 to 8000 fully furnished. THese prices are MUR. furthermore i will state that ask your company a company car , or you should travel by bus and monthly it will turn like 50 USD.

Try looking at the previous posts.. am sure you will get an idea Abu.

Good Luck,

Kayssaven.
