Can someone explain to me the significance of choral singing in Malawi? I've observed primary schools and high schools, church congregations, and even people loitering in public singing. Where does this tradition come from, and is it different from the rest of Africa?
Are these songs published? Is it possible to get a Malawian songbook? Who composed them, and when? Are there any professionally recorded albums?
