The Hotel is nestled against one of the most majestic backdrops ever imagined, the picturesque of Ngorongoro Highland forest , at the folds of Ngorongoro  caldera  the natural heritage , Keeper of myths and legends for centuries, this magnificent caldera  is a photographers Mecca.

Despite Karatu proximity to the Equator, the climate is surprisingly pleasant with an average temperature of 23 degrees Celsius. Situated 1540m above sea level on the easten side of Ngorongoro crater  , even the humidity is kept at bay, not only making the ATA Safaris Lodge  a tranquil getaway in the middle of some of natures most spectacular scenery, but a place where you can really put your feet up and find your grounding again.
