The Greenhouse

Description

The Greenhouse offers 3 rooms, accommodating up to 10 people – 2 rooms with 4 beds and 1 room with 2 beds and shared bathroom facilities including hot showers and western toilets. 

The lounge area is comfortable and homely with a TV, DVD player, stereo system and Wi-Fi and the veranda/ front of house offers additional seating areas. All meals are included.

The hostel is run by non-profit organisation The Green Living Planet so environmentally friendly improvements are constantly being implemented including vegetable gardens, fruit trees, compost bins, recycling of glasses and water sewage for gardens.

Price of stay includes full board accommodation (breakfast, lunch & dinner), laundry and free Wi-Fi.

How To Find Us

From Kilimanjaro/ Arusha airport, take a shuttle/
taxi(transfers can be arranged by The Greenhouse) to
Arusha city centre and ask your taxi driver to take
you to "ngusero, Sombetini." We are located about
3km straight along the Sombetini Road. On the left
you will pass a bright orange bar called "Nairobi
Shine Bar". Continue straight and turn left opposite
where you see "Arusha City Bar" on your right. The
Greenhouse is the first property on the right with a
big blue gate. From Kilimanjaro Airport, the journey
takes approx 45mins-1hour and about 20mins from
Arusha Airport depending on traffic.

By public transport, from the main dala (bus) stand
opposite Meru Post Office in the town centre, take
the dala going to "Ngusero" or "Sombetini". When you
get on the dala, ask the conductor to stop at the
corner after Nairobi Shine Bar - opposite Arusha
City Bar. The journey takes roughly 15 minutes and
once you turn left off the main road, you can also
look out for the Nairobi Shine Bar on the left and
Arusha City Bar on the right where you will get off
the dala.
