Plumwood Inn is a small romantic retreat situated in the historical heart of Franschhoek and offers seven rooms of different sizes in two adjacent properties: four in the main house and three in the villa. All three rooms in the villa offer the same features as the main lodge; however, the décor reflects a more contemporary modern style.

How To Find Us

coming from Cape Town, you
have to stay in the main road (=Huguenot Street) until you see the
sign Plumwood Inn on your right. This is on the corner of Huguenot
street and Berg Street.



Coming from the Franschhoek Pass (Hermanus/Route 62)
From Hermanus you drive towards the N2. Follow the sign Villiersdorp.
Villiersdorp towards Franschhoek and go into the Franschhoek Pass. At the end of the pass you see the monument on your left hand side.
At the Huguenot Monument, turn right into the Main Street.
Take the first turn to the left, this is Berg street.
There is also a sign "Plumwood Inn" on that corner, so you can't miss it.
Then you take the second street to the right, which is Cabriere Street.
Also on this corner there is a sign "Plumwood Inn".

from the Airport.
Go on the N2 towards Somerset West, and get off at exit 22a towards Bellville. This is the R300.
Stay on the R300 until you see: Paarl/Worcester N1.
Go on the N1.
Get off the N1 at exit 47, which says Klapmuts/Stellenbosch/Wellington
Go to the right towards R44 (300 meters) and cross the first crossing.
Turn to the left after 300 meters where you see the sign Franschhoek R45, and also the wineries Glen Carlou and Backsberg. Follow this road, it will take you about 8 minutes. At the end, after you have crossed a railway line, you go to the right towards Franschhoek (R45). Now you just follow the road for about 12 minutes until you enter Franschhoek.
Entering Franschhoek via the R45 (=Huguenot Road), you should stay on this road until you see the blue sign “Plumwood Inn” almost at the end on your right. This is Bergstreet. At the end, you see another sign, and you turn into Cabriere Street, which is a dirt road. We are the fourth house on the right.
