moving to capetown - 21 years ago

i am german, 28 and just arrived from capetown, being there on holidays. i am seriously considering moving there as it was a wonderful place to be.. i felt soo at home.I would like to know what details i.e. visas, and documents etc., which i will require for permanent residency in the country.or for at least 1 or 2 years. maybe some helpful S/A websites and i definately need more information on ...
