Hi

I am currently based in Kuwait, and have to move to Nairobi, Kenya with my family (Wife and daughter) in the month of May.

I need to know the costing for the following:

a. Rental for a fully furnished 03 bedroom apartment or a decent maisonette, in a good locality in Nairobi with security and utility services

b. Nursery or play school information in Nairobi preferably near the residence for a 2 year old and when the curriculum starts

c. Medical faciltiy (my wife is 05 months pregnant now, so maternity hospitals)

d. Also need to buy a decent 4x4 (Pajero / Toyota / Ford / Nissan ) with a/c

If anybody can give the above mentioned points as a package deal, please drop me a line in my e-mail with contact info or even call me on 009659005931.

Warm regards

PARAM

i can give you guidelines on your package as follow.
about the hospital, i will suggest mater hospital or Nairobi hospital as they are on international starndard
for the vehicle, please note that toyota make is the key and dominating model around here due to maintainance
those are the only main points which you can note, as for others like school, where to stay will depend on where you will be working , status etc.
dont hestate to contact me incase you need assistant.

Dear Param,

I welcome you to Kenya. It is important to give details of where you will be working to make it easier to suggest where you can get an apartment or house. Then the kind of school you want for your daughter e.g. international system or any will do, then you probably can give me guidelines on how much you want to spend because you can get apartments for as low as USD 1000, but this depends on where you will be working. Also you can check into a guesthouse as you look through some houses. I would be happy to assist if you want.

There are many good hospitals that take good care of expectant mothers like the Aga Khan hospital, MP Shah, Mater, Nairobi as well as private hospitals.

As for cars, Toyota is common and available and parts easily replaceable so maybe a good call but all other models are available too and price ranges on type. Plus key factor, do you want a new one or used, you should budget around USD 15000 for the car.

Lets talk then you can explain to me and can help you.

Otherwise, you are very much welcome to my beautiful country.

Warm regards to you and family, and cheers to your wife, am a new mom, i know. Say hello, and encourage her, Kenya's weather favors expectant mothers.
U can call me on +254-722-418-160 for assistance anytime or i can call you too, will try later today.
