Hi I am coming to Kenya in July to do an internship at the UNHCR for 5 months and am looking for potential flats/flat mate(s) with a budget of 200-250€ per person per month in the Westlands area.

Is anyone interested? I don't want to live in a host family. Does anyone know how renting works, do you have to pay a fee to the estate agency?

Thanks
Fiona
PS. Am bilingual french-english and speak a little spanish and german if this helps!

Findig a place in westlands is a bit hard. but you may find one if you seek the services of estate management companies. the price ranges from 20k to 40k kenyan shillings. Finding someone to share whit is hard because of trust. i can help you find a place if you give me more info.

Hi,

I posted a message on this forum earlier on in the year. I now have an apartment in Westlands and will be looking for a flat mate as of September as my current housemates are going back to Europe.

They will be vacating their room from 26th August onwards.

The rent is in total 43000 Ksh a month plus about 2000 Ksh for water so you would have to pay half of that. The deposit is the same amount plus 6000 Ksh for electricity deposit.

Please contact me on the above email address if you are interested, letting me know a bit about yourself.
